You know that type of individual attention and unrushed interaction focused on wellness, by and large, is simply not possible during a typical office visit with a doctor or Primary Care Provider. That’s why Kumuda health is here for you.
Focusing on prevention & promoting wellness is central to Kumuda’s philosophy of care. We can help you to start or maintain a healthy lifestyle with education, resources and the tools you need to succeed.
Traditional visits (you come to us) take place in our Mahopac location.
Our in-home health visit program offers you the opportunity to have a local, board certified Nurse Practitioner come to you, in the comfort of your own home, for quality, one-on-one time. Our Nurse Practitioner will take the time to talk with you and really listen to your health concerns.
While conducting a comprehensive review of your medical history and current health, a Nurse Practitioner will perform a physical examination; review and refill your medications; order lab testing if needed; provide personalized education; recommend preventative services; and answer any questions you may have throughout the entire process.

Frequently Asked Questions
DOES A HOME VISIT REPLACE MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR?
Yes and No. You can choose to elect Kumuda Health Care as your primary or contact us when you or your family members require in-home medical care or wellness counseling. Or we will work with your doctor who you can still serve as your primary.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A HOME VISIT?
Your initial visit includes a comprehensive examination, assessment of your environment, review of your nutritional status and a full medical history. We also refill medications, order blood tests and arrange for additional testing if needed. After your first visit, we will continue to discuss your care and will schedule follow-up visits as necessary.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We accept Medicare at the present time. For most other insurances we are out of network, but, we will give you the necessary paperwork to send to them for reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service.
